Enchanting Free Agents, Facebook Attacks and Sinking Ships

Whether or not my Rebel in a Polyester Sash session gets selected for SXSW 2011, I’m planning to be there and here’s why: when I went to SXSW for the first time last year, instead of feeling lost in a sea of 14,000 hipster nerds at “sleep away camp,” I felt at home and totally energized. It was like a giant sea of innovation and fresh ideas that I cherished basking in for a few days out of the year.

What sessions I am interested in for SXSW 2011? Here’s my short list:

Nonprofits and Free Agents in A Networked World

Beth Kanter, Co-Author Networked Nonprofit and CEO of Zoetica

This interactive session is based on a key theme in the book, The Networked Nonprofit (http://www.bethkanter.org/the-networked-nonprofit/), co-authored by Beth Kanter and Allison Fine.

The Art of Enchantment

Guy Kawasaki, Alltop

Grow Some Balls: Build Business Relationships from Nothing

Matt Van Horn, Digg
